POSSIBLE SPOILERS AHEAD FOR SUPERNATURAL AND DC’S LEGENDS OF TOMORROW!
———
For the last couple of episode of Legends of Tomorrow, we’ve seen the new addition to the show, Constantine, being pursued by some unknown evil, something that scares Constantine enough to send him packing up to join the Legends, even right after he said he never would work with a team. We see him attacked by this unknown force in the previous episode, where something slams him into the mirror in his flat, and then he looks up to see, written in blood on that same mirror, “I’m coming for you, Constantine…” (Or something to that effect.)
We don’t know who or what this force is that he’s running from, but we may have just found out in only a few frames of last night’s episode of Legends. Zari Tomaz is talking to Constantine on the rooftop, trying to help him come to grips with the drudged up memories of his parents, when he looks off into the distance and once again has a flashback of being attacked by this as of yet unseen force. But then….we see a flash of his attacker…and it’s none other than Christian Keyes! The same actor who plays Apocalyspe World Archangel Michael on Supernatural! He even has the same facial hair and similar clothes to what we see him wear on Supernatural. (Screenshot here from Legends for you to see.)
I find it highly unlikely that they decided to cast the same actor on two different CW shows to play a big bad on both, and have him be a completely unrelated character, without even trying to make him look any different. Could this possibly be the Supernatural/Arrow-Verse crossover that everyone is hoping for?! I think it’s only a matter of weeks until we know for sure. But I can’t wait to see the Winchester boys kicking some ass along-side our favorite legends in no time. (The banter between Dean and Constantine alone would make it worth it.) Here’s hoping! Otherwise, that was some really odd casting decisions on the part of CW.
