With the Nephilim still on the loose and the boys in government custody, of course Castiel reaches out to Mary for help. But, to be honest, being in the government’s control, especially if they think you tried to kill the President of the United States would be scarier than most things they have encountered.
It doesn’t surprise me at all to see Dean doing the 1,000 mile stare, and not responding when the guy comes to intimidate him. Sam, however, looks scared, as he most always does. Let’s just hope this Mick Davis guy really has their back, and knows where they are. He seems to have a lot more resources than they do. But it seems, he is on a mission to talk to the American hunters to get them to unite with him, unsuccessfully. And of course as the days tick on for the guys in solitary, things are happening in the hunter world. Asa’s daughter called Dean’s cell to tell him about a pack of werewolves they encountered. Mary answers, and asks her location, but it doesn’t go much further. Castiel and Mary seem kind of useless pining for Sam and Dean.
When the guard brings Sam and Dean their chow and finds them unresponsive, I knew something was up. There is no way they’d off themselves, and no way that Billie would help bring them back if they really were goners. She has made it more than abundantly clear her stance on the dead staying dead. So as I sat waiting for the commercials to end and the answers to unfold, I hoped they were faking somehow. The mortician seems perplexed by them dying on the same day, the two jerks in charge of their keeping, not so much; they seem to accept it. Even if they are upset they didn’t get answers. I was not too surprised to see them gasp back to life, but it sucks because they have no idea where they are. They are in a government place that wasn’t supposed to exist.
Being as resourceful as they are, that doesn’t prove a problem. They figure out their approximate location. With their mom coming from Missouri from a case, and Castiel already on the way, let’s hope they get ahead of these government creeps. Because, if they catch them, it wouldn’t be as nice as the sit and wait game they were playing. Cas calls for backup, and as I had suspected, Mick is called in with his associate. Of course these two already know the location of this government facility, as they say, it’s their job. I’m still not sure I trust these guys… I guess we’ll have to wait and see. I chuckled when Dean overtakes the soldier and tells “the man in charge” they are the ones who should be worried, as they are the trapped ones. What we have all learned from Dean in the past: he doesn’t do well with threats, at all. That puts him in fight mode. And they don’t even know Castiel called in backup, so this could get messy. Before Castiel and the rest of them even come to help, Dean and Sam knock down each soldier one by one before making Dean’s promise true. They have the two guys in charge trapped, which again, made me chuckle. I was a little surprised they took this opportunity to tell them the truth of the President being possessed. And I was amused when they end their conversation with the answer, “we are the guys who save the world”. But as we have seen, time and time again, it’s quite true.
Of course, they are surprised to see their mom with Cas when they find them. But even more surprised to see Mick and his counterpart, Mr.Ketch, with them. What shocked me was seeing Billie. I guess she did make a deal with them. They have to give up a Winchester come midnight, permanently. And this deal, is bound in blood. So of course, Mary takes the bullet, or at least tries to. Before she has the chance, Castiel puts his angel sword right through Billie’s heart. And then his speech… right in the feels. But, I guess he forgot what Billie said about having cosmic repercussions. So I’m a little worried what that’s going to mean. Destruction on Earth? And as for Mick’s part with things, he makes sure Mr.Ketch takes care of all the witnesses. And he used this opportunity to make his pitch to a Winchester, Mary. Who knows where this will lead. I really hope she doesn’t drink his kool-aid!
