Episode 13 - Gremlins 2 VS Critters 2!!

Gremlins and Critters bash again in Copy Cat Cinema, big sharks eaten by bigger sharks, and selfies are bad for you!

Fuzzy creatures that will eat your face have never been so funny before. What a weird concept.

A Play On Nerds - Episode 13 - Gremlins 2 VS Critters 2!!

After Steve finishes bragging about his lovely week, (lucky guy) we delve into some Nerdy News, involving cannibalistic sharks and an injured Han Solo. On no! We have a new add on to Nerdy News called Bogus Stories, where we give 3 news stories, but one of them is total BS. You'll be surprised which ones are actually true... We live in a strange world.

Next we jump head first into our Copy Cat Cinema, Critters 2 VS Gremlins 2!! We discuss which film featuring furry creatures killing folks is the better film gem. Since Steve is such an expert on Gremlins, you'll want to listen in to some of the weird trivia and behind the scenes knowledge he brings to this episode.

For trailer reviews of the week, we feature AftermathThe Congress, and The Rage with Nicolas Cage! Some real doozeys this week.

Episode 12 - BuffyPalooza!

Huge Buffy The Vampire Discussion, Space is Very Old and Jared Leto Sucks!

Just look at them. Aren't they nerdtacularly adorable? Oh the 90s.

A Play On Nerds - Episode 12 - BuffyPalooza!

We start of with some Nerdy News of the cosmic kind, along with some confirmed and not-so-confirmed Marvel movie casting news. Listen to find out!

Then Jarman hits Steve with some Hypothetical Hubub, where he throws some crazy hypothetical situations at Steve and he has to think on his feet as to how he would react to them. (Courtesy of author Chuck Klosterman and his "Hypertheticals")

Then on to the big feature, where we talk about our love of Buffy the Vampire Slayer! We discuss some of the series highs and lows, talking about the very first episode, Steve's favorite episode "The Wish" and Jarman's favorite, the infamous musical episode Once More With Feeling. We both love Buffy, and this short amount of time barely scratches the surface of all there is to talk about for it, but we give it our best shot. Surely we'll discuss Buffy more in the future, along with the Angel spinoff!

Steve then presents Jarman with a very special edition of Brooklyn Band or Smut Search? where we have to decide if the name he gives us is the search someone actually made on PornMD.com or if it is actually a Brooklyn band name. He throws in a little funny twist to make things more interesting for this go around.

Finally, in Trailer Reviews this week, we cover Christopher Nolan's upcoming Interstellar and Disney Animation's Big Hero 6. It's an overstuffed episode!

A Play On Nerds - Episode 11 - X-Men: Days of Future Past

Before we delve into our non-spoiler and spoiler review for X-Men Days of Future Past, we dish some nerdy news, including a comet that will not hit earth, because it doesn't exist, the passing of the lovely Maya Angelou, and the casting of a new Daredevil.

We also bring back another edition of Name That Power, where we find the strangest, dopiest, most rare, and derpiest Marvel heroes and villains, and one of us has to guess what powers they may have, simply by name alone.

This week's trailer reviews: Snowpiercer, I'll Follow You Down, and the newly released Edge of Tomorrow trailer.

Episode 10 - 2004 Extravaganza

Wardrobe Malfunctions, World of Warcraft, The Dawn of "The" Facebook and Everything Else from 2004

It looks like they are just about to fall asleep in this photo. No big deal, nothing else going on.

Episode 10 - 2004 Extravaganza

On our special 10th episode milestone, Steve and Jarman delve 10 years into the past, talking about everything that was going on in 2004. From movies, TV, inventions, books, music and the big news stories of the time we'll try to remember a little snapshot of what life was like, just 10 years ago.

We transition into another edition of Factoid Fumbles, where Jarman now gives Steve some random persons, places, or things and he has to say one random fact about them. It seems to always get ridiculous.

Then we jump into some modern-day trailer reviews, covering the new Guardians of the Galaxy trailer and the upcoming adaptation of The Giver.

Episode 9 - Nerd Books!!!

Channing Tatum Murders Gambit, H.R. Giger Has Grown More Powerful Than You Can Possibly Imagine, Wheel Of Time, Ender's Game and More!!

BOOOOOOKS!

Episode 9 - Nerd Books!!!

Steve and Jarman return to tell you about some sad Nerdy News. We talk about the passing of H.R. Giger, (which I found out afterwards we were pronouncing his name wrong this whole episode), and the recent announcement that Channing Tatum will take on the role of Gambit for an upcoming X-Men movie.

We then break out a new segment called Factoid Fumbles! This is where Steve throws out one thing, any one thing in the universe, and Jarman has to spout out one simple fact about it, no matter what it is. The results are ridiculous.

In our feature, we tackle the world of literature for the first time, with Steve and Jarman talking about some of their favorite books, including Ender's Game, Wheel of Time, Ender's Shadow, Runelords, and Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy

We then delve into some more Hypothetical Hubub, where we present some pretty zany hypothetical situations, posed by the author Chuck Klosterman. We're curious to hear what you guys and gals would do in those same situations.

In trailer reviews this week, we cover the documentaries, Cyber Seniors and Code Black, along with post-apocalyptic The Rover.
