First some Nerdy News related to Ebola cures and video sound surveillance, and then we jump right into our ginormous feature...

4 Top 5 Lists to Make 20 of Our Favorite Things for Our 20th Episode! Top 5 Movies, TV Shows, Games and Music!

Episode 19 - Tommy Lee Jones Punches a Volcano

Volcano Punching, Movie Insults, On the Stage or Screen? And Apologies to Octomom?!

Tommy Lee Jones is perpetually disappointed in you.

We jumpstart things with some Nerdy News with apologies to a real life Octomom and more holes in the Siberian tundra.

Then we jump into another Supercut Showdown, this time with clips of quotes of movie insults where you and Steve have to guess what movie they come from.

Then it's Copy Cat Cinema time once again with 1997's Volcano VS Dante's Peak! Jarman desperately tries to defend the steaming turd that is Volcano while Steve enjoys the mediocreness of Dante's Peak. So much lava and magma everywhere! We really made a burning mess of the A Play On Nerds studio this time around.

Then Steve busts out a new segment called That Was A Play? This is where Steve names a movie and we have to decide if it was indeed first a play before it was ever adapted for the screen. There are some surprises here for sure.

In Trailer Reviews, we cover Horns, Housebound, and Septic Man. Apparently we decided to go the decidedly comedic horror route this week!

Episode 18 - Muppets and Magic

Muppet Song Trivia and Copy Cat Cinema Returns with The Prestige and The Illusionist !

Black holes and Dr. Strange are out of control in this week's Nerdy News, and then Steve jumps into more black holes with Blackhole Trivia, where Jarman has to answer trivia questions based on something he has a "black hole" of knowledge in. This time around, it's Muppets music! We'll see if Jarman can name where each of the songs are from, and we even have one for you, the listener, to answer, for a prize! (TBD...)

Then Copy Cat Cinema returns with The Illusionist and The Prestige, two very similar movies that both came out in 2006 that we will review and revile. Full of Christian Bale crazies.

Somehow, Nicolas Cage gets mentioned 3 times in this podcast. Crazy.

For Trailer Reviews we cover Gone GirlVideo Games: The Movie, and The Death of Superman Lives. Check it out!

Episode 17 - William Shatner's Toupee! Star Trek TOS

Star Trek: The Original Series Episode! Steve knows nothing, like Jon Snow

Yes, this is Arnold Schwarzenegger as a Vulcan. Thanks to D. Beers of Deviant Art for this!

Steve is overworked, but he pushed through the pain to stay loyal to all you listeners out there!

First we discuss some exciting moon colony news, which Steve quickly ruins with a more disappointing news story in this week's Nerdy News.

Then it's time for Factoid Fumbles once again, and this time around, Jarman truly fumbles his way through. But it's space themed! Because....

Our feature this week is Star Trek The Original Series! This will be a very brief overview of the show and the characters, brimming with inaccuracies and half explanations. Would you expect more from A Play On Nerds?! We discuss the episode Amok Time in particular to show the characters in action.

And now for something completely different! We have another edition of Supercut Showdown! This week Jarman will play clips from tons of different Arnold Schwarzenegger movies and you and Steve have to guess what movie and what character it is! This really shows how ridiculous some of this dialog is.

Then for Trailer Reviews we have Maze Runner, Life After Beth and To Be Takei.

Episode 16 - Transformers: Return of the Explosions

Saturn Creating a New Moon? (Not Twilight...) Dawn of the Awesome Planet of the Apes, and TRANSFORMERS!!! ROBOTS IN YOUR FACE!

Welcome back! After our one week hiatus to celebrate Independence Day, Steve's birthday, and Jarman's anniversary with his girlfriend, we're back and better than ever!

This week we jump into some Nerdy News once again, with Saturns rings producing something new and a defense contractor making some real life Transformers?

Keeping with the theme, Steve presents a new game, Recalling Robots, where Jarman (and you, the audience!) has to guess what show or movie different robots came from, by name alone. I'm sure you could find out a lot about that over at the Rusted Robot Podcast!

Then we jump into the feature, explosions first, talking about everything Transformers, from the cartoons and action figures we played with as kids, to the steaming pile of turd that was Age of Extinction. It's definitely a ride.

Jarman then introduces yet another new game, Supercut Showdown, where we take clips from supercuts of famous films, typically montages of people saying the same lines but in different movies, and you have to guess what actor is saying the line and what movie it is from! This week, it's "You've got to be kidding me!" If you don't get it, you'll just have to listen! Thanks to Screen Junkies for this one.

For Trailer Reviews this week we have Dracula: Untold, Zero Theorum and Exodus: Gods and Kings.

Thanks to the classic hair metal band Lion, for the awesome version of the Transformers theme used throughout the show!
